Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Being a team player is necessary!
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Perform vital signs assessments and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and medical coding.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred (3 years); we welcome candidates eager to learn more.
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft and Open Dental, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Experience with X-ray technology and taking vital signs is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
